The end-spring-type chisel foot is made of cast iron and covered on both sides with sheet metal fins. Fertilizer and seed hoses pass between the fins and are released into the soil. Due to the wide penetration angle, the resultant force forces the foot to lift out of the soil, so the planting depth can be increased with additional loads. This feature is superior to other foot types. The seedbed is well prepared. In disc and spring-loaded chisel foot types, when encountering obstacles such as stones and clods, it tries to lift upwards, but since the axe foot is mounted to the chassis, it does not make an upward movement. Worn axes should be replaced.
