Double-disc plows consist of two flat discs at a specific angle to each other. The point where the discs meet is at the front, slightly above the base of the furrow. A seed funnel is placed in the space between the discs, which widen towards the back. Despite being disc plows, these plows create furrows by pushing the soil to the sides like axe-shaped plows, but the furrow width is greater. Most seeds are sown at the same depth and covered with the moist soil pushed to the sides. The height of this ridge increases as the furrow widens, giving the appearance of rows. Due to these characteristics, double-disc plows can be used in all types of climate and soil conditions.
